The Arabian Sea branch of the south-west monsoons reaches Tiruvanantapuram around the first of June. It reaches Mumbai around the tenth of June. So, Tiruvanantapuram receives much of its rainfall in the month of June, while Mumbai receives much of its rainfall in the month of July.
