  2. Its long coastline with maximum number of ports leads to well-developed trading activities.
  3. Indian ports serve as entrepots for countries on the west and east of Indian ocean.
  4. The western and eastern hemisphere is connected through the Indian Ocean.
  5. No other country has such a long coastline on this ocean as India.
