GM crops also contribute to enhanced nutritional value, such as Golden Rice enriched with vitamin A, and longer shelf life, as seen in the Flavr Savr tomato. These benefits support food security, reduce reliance on harmful chemicals, and improve crop productivity, which are vital amid growing global challenges. While there are concerns about biosafety and ethical issues, the cautious regulation of GM technologies can mitigate these risks effectively.
