We know one cubic metre is the SI unit of volume and 1 m³ = 1 m × 1 m × 1m
= 100 cm × 100 cm × 100 cm
1 m³ = 10⁶ cm³
Also, 1 litre = 1000 mL = 1000 cm³ = 10³ cm³ .......[∵ 1 mL = 1 cm³]
1 litre = 10³ cm³
Multiply both sides by 10³
10³ litre = 10³ × 10³ cm³ = 10⁶ cm³
1000 litre = 1 m³ .......[∵ 1 m³ = 10⁶ cm³]
So, 1 m³ = 1000 litre
