Yes, some people feel insecure about digitalisation processes because of being computer phobic or computer illiterate, as they don't trust the internet and perceived security risks. The perception that someone else has access to your bank account is a deal breaker for many. It's a big jump into the unknown with your hard-earned money especially if you have no one to explain it to you.

The feeling of insecurity surrounding digitisation is frequently caused by a combination of technological exclusion and a perceived loss of control. For many, the quick move to a digital-first society has resulted in a “digital divide”, in which those without the necessary skills or access to contemporary hardware feel increasingly excluded from crucial services like banking and healthcare. This fear is frequently exacerbated by security worries, as the internet’s intangible nature leaves users vulnerable to data breaches and financial fraud. Furthermore, replacing traditional human connection with automated technologies can create a sense of alienation, making the world appear colder and more complex. Ultimately, this sense of insecurity is a reasonable reaction to a fundamental shift in how we manage daily life, in which the push to constantly upskill causes ongoing stress for individuals who prefer more traditional, tangible modes of connection.
