उत्तर
The Battle of Plassey fought on June 23, 1757, was a major turning point in Indian history. It was preceded by a series of conspiratorial events. The British East India Company, led by Robert Clive, conspired with Siraj-ud-Daulah's disgruntled generals and nobles, including Mir Jafar. Siraj-ud-Daulah, the Nawab of Bengal, had antagonized the British and his own court with his policies. The conspiracy aimed to replace Siraj-ud-Daulah with Mir Jafar, who promised support to the British. On the battlefield, Mir Jafar and his troops betrayed Siraj-ud-Daulah, leading to his defeat and eventual execution. This victory allowed the British to gain significant control over Bengal and laid the foundation for British colonial rule in India.
