Let A = (x1, y1) = (2, – 1) and B = (x2, y2) = (4, 3).

Slope of line AB = `(y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1)`

= `(3 - (-1))/(4 - 2)`

= `4/2`

= 2.
