x₂ = 0, y₂ = 4

Δ_x = x₂ – x₁

= 0 – (–5)

= 5

Δ_y = y₂ – y₁

= 4 – (–1)

= 5

`d = sqrt(Δx^2 + Δy^2)` 

= `sqrt(5^2 + 5^2)`

= `sqrt(25 + 25)`

= `sqrt(50)`

= `5sqrt(2) ≈ 7.071`

The distance AB = `5sqrt(2)` (approximately 7.071).
