Here, 

`a = sqrt(3)` 

`b = 2sqrt(2)` 

`c = -2sqrt(3)` 

Discriminant D is given by: 

D = b2 – 4ac 

= `(2sqrt(2))^2 - 4 xx sqrt(3) xx (-2sqrt(3))` 

= (4 × 2) + (8 × 3)

= 8 + 24

= 32
