उत्तर
On 11 March 2011, a powerful earthquake and tsunami struck Japan. The tsunami flooded the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, causing a loss of electricity and cooling. This led to meltdowns in three reactors, hydrogen explosions and the release of radioactive substances into the air and the ocean. Residents nearby were evacuated, and restrictions were placed on some food and water to reduce exposure. The accident showed how natural disasters can damage nuclear facilities and why strong safety measures and emergency plans are essential.
