उत्तर

The Two-Factor Theory of Intelligence was proposed by Charles Spearman in 1904. It is one of the earliest and most influential theories that tried to explain the structure of human intelligence.

  1. General Intelligence (g factor):
    • This is a common factor that influences performance in all types of mental tasks.
    • It reflects a person’s overall intellectual ability, their capacity to reason, solve problems, and learn.
    • If someone performs well in one subject, they are likely to perform well in others because of a strong g factor.
  2. Specific Intelligence (s factor):
    • These are abilities specific to certain tasks or subjects.
    • For example, a person may be good at mathematics (high s for math) but not so strong in language (low s for language).
    • The s factor explains why a person might do better in one area than another.
