उत्तर

Ginning is the mechanical process of separating raw cotton fibres (lint) from their seeds and debris, and it is an important first step in converting harvested cotton into textiles. Originally done by hand, modern ginning uses automated devices known as cotton gins, which pull the soft cotton fibres through a sequence of spinning circular saws or rollers while leaving the solid seeds behind. The clean, separated fibres are then compressed into thick bales for spinning into yarn, while the remaining seeds are recycled into cottonseed oil and cattle feed.
