- Memory Gaps: There are frequent gaps in memory for everyday events, personal information, or traumatic events that can’t be explained by normal forgetfulness.
- Sudden Changes in Behavior: A person may shift rapidly from one mood or personality to another without warning.
- Depersonalization and Derealization: The person may feel detached from their body (depersonalization) or feel the world around them is unreal (derealization).
- Loss of Time: The person may find themselves in places or situations they don’t remember entering, or be told they did things they can’t recall.
- Anxiety and Depression: Common alongside identity shifts.
