In both singles and doubles, players change ends according to the same procedure: they swap ends at the conclusion of the first game, again at the conclusion of the second game if a third game will be played, and during the deciding (third) game immediately when a side first scores 11 points; if an end change is missed it must be corrected as soon as the error is discovered and when play is not in progress, with the existing score standing.
