उत्तर
- In angiosperms, microspores are formed inside the anther’s pollen sacs called microsporangia.
- The hypodermal cells of the anther function as archesporial cells, which divide to form primary sporogenous cells.
- These primary sporogenous cells act as microspore mother cells (diploid).
- Each microspore mother cell undergoes meiosis to produce four haploid microspores.
- This process of forming microspores from microspore mother cells is called microsporogenesis.
- The microspores thus formed later develop into pollen grains, which are the male gametophytes.
