उत्तर
- Type A Personality: Type A personality is known as coronary-prone and is marked by a strong drive for achievement, competitiveness, and hard work. These individuals are highly ambitious, time-conscious, and often workaholics. They focus intensely on tasks, prefer staying busy, and have difficulty relaxing. They tend to be perfectionists, easily irritated by delays, and place great importance on time management and productivity.
- Type B Personality: Type B personalities don’t have Type A traits. Research shows that people with Type A personality are twice as likely to develop heart disease compared to Type B people. Type B individuals are relaxed, friendly, and easygoing. They aren’t very hardworking and don’t worry much about time. They generally get along well with others but don’t take work too seriously and aren’t very responsible. Many arrive at work late and leave early. They have low motivation, avoid taking on big responsibilities, and don’t choose demanding careers. They are soft-spoken and usually perform at an average level. They often complain about hard work and have lower achievement motivation. Because they are more calm and less anxious, they have a lower risk of heart disease than Type A personalities.
- Type C Personality: Morris described a Type C personality, which is thought to be more prone to cancer. People with a Type C personality are very cooperative, patient, and not assertive. They tend to hold back or hide their negative emotions like anger and hostility. Suppressing these feelings can cause the brain to release certain chemicals (neuropeptides) that disrupt the body’s normal balance. This weakens the immune system, making it harder for the body to fight off cancer cells, especially in the lungs. However, more research is needed to confirm if Type C personality is truly linked to cancer.
Studies also show there are no differences between men and women when it comes to Type A and Type B personalities. But people with higher job positions tend to show more Type A behavior.
