We need to conserve water for the following reasons:

1. Overexploitation of subsurface water can reduce the water table.

3. Irrigation uses about 90% of total fresh water.
4. By 2025, industrial water demand is expected to exceed home demand by more than double.
5. As populations grow, water scarcity becomes more prevalent.
6. Water resources, including underground water, rivers and lakes, are polluted and cannot be used without proper treatment.
