Question

Earthworms are known as ‘farmer’s friends’. Why?

Answer 1

Earthworms are generally found in the fields below the thin layers of soil as they burrow in the soil. This helps in improving the quality of the soil by making the soil loose, soft and making the movement of air easier through the soil. This helps the crops to grow better. This is why earthworms are known as farmer’s friends.
