The policy of reservation in India is a mechanism aimed at correcting historical injustices and providing equal opportunities to marginalized communities such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). While it is a tool for achieving social justice and promoting inclusivity, it is not a panacea for completely eliminating stratification or ensuring total social unity. While reservation can be an effective tool for promoting equity and reducing inequality, it alone cannot dismantle deep-rooted social stratification or ensure unity. - Broad-based education reform,
- Economic development and equal opportunities for all.
- Anti-discrimination laws,
- Awareness campaigns to change social attitudes.
