उत्तर

  Perisperm Endosperm
1. Perisperm is the remnant of nucellus that persists in the seed after fertilization. Endosperm is the tissue formed after fertilization that nourishes the developing embryo.
2. It is maternal in origin, derived from the nucellus of the ovule. It is triploid (3n) in most angiosperms, formed by the fusion of one male gamete with two polar nuclei (triple fusion).
3. It is diploid (2n), as it is derived from sporophytic tissue of the parent plant. It is usually triploid (3n), but may be haploid or diploid in some plants.
4. It serves as an additional food storage tissue in some seeds. It stores food and provides nutrition to the developing embryo.
