उत्तर
Packaging involves the designing and production of a product’s container or wrapper. Packaging can be divided into three levels:
- Primary packaging: This is the immediate container that holds the product. It may stay with the product until it’s opened (like the wrapper on a chocolate) or throughout its lifespan (like a toothpaste tube).
- Secondary packaging: This adds extra layers of protection that are kept until the product is ready to be used. For instance, a toothpaste tube is often packed in a cardboard box, which is discarded when the product starts being used, but the tube itself remains.
- Transportation packaging: This involves additional packaging needed for transporting and storing products. For example, a toothpaste manufacturer might send cardboard boxes of toothpaste tubes packed inside larger corrugated boxes, each containing 100 smaller boxes.
