उत्तर
Vertical Interval (V.I.) is defined as the vertical distance between any two contour lines on a map. It represents the difference in height or elevation between these contour lines. For example, in many British ordnance maps, the vertical interval is commonly either 50 or 100 feet, while in some survey sheets of India, it is 20 meters.
