उत्तर

Given:

  • Side AB = 5 cm
  • Diagonal AC = 6.5 cm

Steps of construction:

  1. Draw the diagonal AC of length 6.5 cm.
  2. With A as center and radius 5 cm, draw arcs above and below the line segment AC.
  3. With C as center and radius 5 cm, draw arcs intersecting the arcs drawn from A. These intersections are points B and D.
  4. Join points A to B, B to C, C to D and D to A.

Thus, ABCD is the required rhombus with side AB = 5 cm and diagonal AC = 6.5 cm.

The rhombus ABCD is constructed by first drawing diagonal AC, then locating points B and D by arcs of radius equal to the side length from A and C and finally joining all vertices to form the rhombus.
