It is impossible to fully centralise or decentralise a huge organisation. A managerial hierarchy would not be possible with total centralisation. Total decentralisation would entail no oversight by upper management. Neither of the scenarios is feasible. As a result, finding the right balance between centralisation and decentralisation is necessary. There is centralisation and decentralisation in every organisation. Decentralisation is more common in larger businesses.
