Briefly write the history of Table Tennis.

Table tennis, also known as Ping-Pong, is a popular indoor sport. The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) were established in 1926; TTFI was one of ITTF’s founder members. The sport made its Olympic debut at the 1988 Seoul Games and has been contested at the Asian Games since 1958. It became an optional sport at the Commonwealth Games in 2002.

The World Table Tennis Championships have been held since 1926 and biennially since 1957. The game was formerly played to 21 points, but the target changed to 11 points in September 2001, making matches faster. The service rule changed from five consecutive serves per player to two in 2002. Since 2014, table tennis events have used a ball made from new poly material.
