Richard had many interests and hobbies. He was a skilled debater and a confident public speaker. He also enjoyed canoeing and photography. He had a sharp mind, a strong desire to learn, and a competitive spirit.
His social science teacher, Mr. Weiherer, encouraged him to explore new ideas and take part in competitions. He believed that Richard was not only focused on his experiments but also worked hard in every field to achieve success.
