Temperature coefficient of linear expansion of iron = 11.5 × 10^-6°C^-1

Change in temperature = 30^∘C − 15 ^∘C = 15^∘C

Change in length = Δl

Using formula for linear expansion of solids, we have

`=> (triangle l)/32400 = 11.5 xx 10^(-6) xx 15`

`triangle l = 32400 xx 11.5 xx 10^(-6) xx 15`

= 5.6 cm
