उत्तर
In order to arrange the given fractions in ascending order, we have to convert them into like fractions.
So, LCM of the denominators, i.e. 3, 4, 2 and 6 = 2 × 2 × 3 = 12.
Now, we convert the given fractions to equivalent fractions with denominator 12.
| 2 | 3, 4, 2, 6 |
| 2 | 3, 2, 1, 3 |
| 3 | 3, 1, 1, 3 |
| 1, 1, 1, 1 |
`(2 xx 4)/(3 xx 4) = 8/12, (3 xx 3)/(4 xx 3) = 9/12`
`(1 xx 6)/(2 xx 6) = 6/12, (5 xx 2)/(6 xx 2) = 10/12`
Clearly, `6/12 < 8/12 < 9/102 < 10/12` ...[In like fraction, the fraction whose numerator is smaller will be smaller]
∴ `1/2 < 2/3 < 3/4 < 5/6`
