The watchwords of the French Revolution such as liberty, equality, and fraternity led to the rise of a new democratic social order in Europe. The most potent effect of the French Revolution was that it roused national feelings. The common people were prepared to die for the sake of protecting the rights and privileges they had got due to the French Revolution. It also inspired other European people to overthrow their oppressive governments.
