प्रश्न

An article is sold for ₹ 555 at a loss of `7 1/2%`. The cost price of the article is ________

रिकाम्या जागा भरा

उत्तर

₹ 600

Explanation;

Hint:

Given selling price is ₹ 555 and loss `7 1/2%`

as per formula

S.P = `((100 - "loss"%))/100 xx "C.P"`

by substituting, we get

555 = `((100 - 7 1/2))/100  xx "C.P"`

∴ 555 = `(100 - 15/2)/100 xx "C.P"`

= `((200 - 15)/2)/100 xx "C.P"`

555 = `(185/2)/100 xx "C.P"`

∴ C.P = `(555 xx 100)/(185/2)`

= `(555 xx 100)/185 xx 2`

= ₹ 600
