In ΔAPD and ΔCPB
∠A = ∠C .....(Angles in the same segment)
∠D = ∠B .....(Angles in the same segment)
⇒ ΔAPD ~ ΔCPB ...(By AA Postulate)
`=> (AP)/(CP) = (PD)/(PB)` ...(Corresponding sides of similar triangles)
`=> AP xx PB = CP xx PD`
