उत्तर
Let the amount he invested at 12% interest be Rs. x and the amount
he invested at 14% interest be Rs. (35000 - x).
As per the given condition,
`(12x)/(100) + (14(35000 - x))/(100) = 4460 ....["Using S.I." = "PNR"/(100)]`
⇒ `(12x)/(100) + (490000 - 14x)/(100)` = 4460
⇒ `(12x + 490000 - 14x)/(100)` = 4460
⇒ 490000 - 2x = 446000
⇒ -2x = -44000
⇒ x = 22000
And
35000 - x
= 35000 - 22000
= Rs.13000
Hence, the amount he invested at 12% is Rs.22000
and the amount he invested at 14% is Rs.13000.
