Internal diameter of the bowl = 36 cm
Internal radius of the bowl, r = 18 cm
Volume of the liquid, V =(2/3)ЁЭЬЛr3 =(2/3)× ЁЭЬЛ × 183
Let the height of the small bottle be ‘h’.
Diameter of a small cylindrical bottle = 6 cm
Radius of a small bottle, R = 3 cm
Volume of a single bottle = ЁЭЬЛR2h = ЁЭЬЛ × 32 × h
No. of small bottles, n = 72
Volume wasted in the transfer =(10/100)×(2/3)× ЁЭЬЛ × 183
Volume of liquid to be transferred in the bottles

`=2/3xxpixx18^3-10/100xx2/3xxpixx18^3`

`=2/3xxpixx18^3(1-10/100)`

`=2/3xxpixx18^3xx90/100`

we know that volume of cylinder =`pir^2h` so we get

`72(pir^2h)=(2/3xxpixx18^3xx90/100)`

`72=(2/3xxpixx18^3xx90/100)/(pixx3^2xxh)`

`72=(2/3xx18^3xx9/10)/(3^2xxh)`

`h=(2/3xxpixx18xx18xx18xx9/10)/(pixx3^2xx72) `

h=5.4 cm
Height of the small cylindrical bottle = 5.4 cm

The largest possible sphere is carved out of a wooden solid cube of side 7 em. Find the volume of the wood left. (Use\[\pi = \frac{22}{7}\]).

The diameters of the lower and upper ends of a bucket in the form of a frustum of a cone are 10 cm and 30 cm respectively. If its height is 24 cm, find:

1) The area of the metal sheet used to make the bucket.

2) Why we should avoid the bucket made by ordinary plastic? [Use π = 3.14]

A toy is in the shape of a right circular cylinder with a hemisphere on one end and a cone on the other. The radius and height of the cylindrical part are 5 cm and 13 cm respectively. The radii of the hemispherical and conical parts are the same as that of the cylindrical part.Find the surface area of the toy if the total height of the toy is 30 cm.

Two cubes each of volume 27 cm3 are joined end to end to form a solid. Find the surface area of the resulting cuboid.

Two cubes each of volume 27 cm3 are joined end to end to form a solid. Find the surface area of the resulting cuboid.

If the total surface area of a solid hemisphere is 462 cm2, then find its volume.

From a cubical piece of wood of side 21 cm, a hemisphere is carved out in such a way that the diameter of the hemisphere is equal to the side of the cubical piece. Find the surface area and volume of the remaining piece.

A cubical block of side 10 cm is surmounted by a hemisphere. What is the largest diameter that the hemisphere can have? Find the cost of painting the total surface area of the solid so formed, at the rate of тВ╣5 per 100 sq cm. [Use ππ = 3.14]

A solid metallic sphere of diameter 21 cm is melted and recast into a number of smaller cones, each of diameter 3.5 cm and height 3 cm. Find the number of cones so formed.

The boilers are used in thermal power plants to store water and then used to produce steam. One such boiler consists of a cylindrical part in middle and two hemispherical parts at its both ends.

Length of the cylindrical part is 7 m and radius of cylindrical part is `7/2` m.

Find the total surface area and the volume of the boiler. Also, find the ratio of the volume of cylindrical part to the volume of one hemispherical part.
