उत्तर
For the first refrigetator,
S.P. = Rs.37500
Profit = 25%
`"S.P."/"C.P." = 1 + ("Profit")/(100)`
⇒ `(37500)/"C.P." = 1 + (25)/(100)`
⇒ `(37500)/"C.P." = (100 + 25)/(100)`
⇒ C.P. = `(100)/(125) xx 37500`
= Rs.30000
For the second refrigerator,
S.P. = Rs.37500
Loss = 25%
`"S.P."/"C.P." = 1 - "Loss"/(100)`
⇒ `(37500)/"C.P." = 1 - (25)/(100)`
⇒ `(37500)/"C.P." = (100 -25)/(100)`
⇒ C.P. = `(100)/(75) xx 37500`
= Rs.50000
Total C.P.of both the refrigerator
= Rs.30000 + Rs.50000
= Rs.80000
Total S.P. of both the refrigerator
= Rs.37500 x 2
= Rs.75000
Since C.P. > S.P., so there is a loss
Loss
= C.P. - S.P.
= Rs.(80000 - 75000)
= Rs.5000
loss%
= `"Loss"/"C.P." xx 100`
= `(5000)/(80000) xx 100`
= 6.25%.
