उत्तर

Radius of cylindrical tank = 154 cm

Initial height of water tank = 3 m = 3 × 100 cm  ...[∵ 1 m = 100 cm]

∴ Volume of water = πr2h

= `22/7 xx 154 xx 154 xx 3 xx 100`

= 22360800 cm3

If height of water 4.5 m is poured into it, then volume of water

= `22/7 xx 154 xx 154 xx 4.5 xx 100`

= 33541200 cm3

Increase in volume = 33541200 – 22360800

= 11180400 cm3

= 11180.4 L   ...[1000 cm3 = 1 L]

= 11.1804 kL  ...[1 kL = 1000 L]
