उत्तर

When the copper plate is dipped in an AgNO3 solution, silver from the solution gets deposited on the copper plate. This happens because copper is more reactive than silver and displaces silver from the silver nitrate solution.

\[\ce{Cu_{(s)} + 2AgNO3_{(aq)} -> Cu(NO3)2_{(aq)} + 2Ag_{(s)}}\]
