Area of each of the 64 squares of the chessboard = 6.25cm2
So, Side of each of the 64 squares of the chess board = 2.5cm
The sum of Sides of each of the 8 squares on one side of the chess board
= 8 x 2.5
= 20cm
The border on each side is 2cm.
So, the length of the board
= 20 + 4
= 24cm.
