= 3 × 480
= ₹ 1440
Remaining money = Total money - money spent on cloth
= ₹ 2400 - ₹ 1440
= ₹ 960
Now, boy spent `1/4` of the remaining money on buying shoes.
∴ Money spent on buying shoes
= ₹ `960 xx 1/4`
= ₹ 240
