`(3x-1/2)^2=6+1/4=25/4=(5/2)^2`
`3x-1/2=+-5/2` (Taking square root on both sides)
`3x-1/2=5/2 or 3x-1/2=-5/2`
`3x=5/2+1/2=6/2=3 or =-5/2+1/2=-4/2=-2`
`x=1 or x=-2/3`
