Then, 25 ml = x% of 5 litres

⇒ `25 = x/100 xx 5 xx 1000`  ...[∵ 1 l = 1000 ml]

⇒ `(25 xx 100)/(5 xx 1000) = x`

⇒ x = 0.5

Hence, 25 ml is 0.5% of 5 litres.
