and x kg of sugar cost = ₹ 175

10 kg : x kg :: 350 : 175
⇒ 10 × 175 = 350 × x
⇒ 350x = 1750
⇒ x = `1750/350` = 5
Hence, 5 kg of sugar costs ₹ 175
