Sree Narayana Guru College of Commere

Sree Narayana Guru College of Commerce was established in July, 1986 by Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti situated at P.L. Lokhande Marg, Chembur (west) and very close to Chembur railway station and many BEST buses regularly operating at this route serving people coming from different destinations. The College was started to serve the local student community who were otherwise by and large deprived of higher education. The College is recognized by UGC under 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act and it is a Linguistic Minority Institution. Presently the Degree College offers one grant-in-aid B. Com. Degree programme and nine non-grant-in-aid undergraduate programmes of University of Mumbai viz., B.Sc. (I.T.), B.M.S., B.Com. (Banking & Insurance), B. Com. (Accounting & Finance), B.Com. (Financial Management), B.Com. (Investment Management), B.Com. (Transport Management), B.Com./B.M.S. (Environment Management & Economics) and Bachelor of Mass Media (B.M.M.) It also offers one Post Graduate Programme (M.Com. – Accountancy) and Add-On Certificate and Diploma courses in (1) Tax Procedure & Practice, (2) Functional English and (3) Computer Application. The College is known for its strict discipline and regularity in holding lectures and has been maintaining excellent academic result. It also promotes sports and cultural activities aiming overall personality development of students.
