Solubility curve: “The effect of temperature on solubility of a solute in a solvent shown by a curve in the graph (temperature-solubility) is called solubility curve.”
Two applications of the solubility curve :
- MEDICAL: Enables a pharmacist to determine the number of drugs that must be dissolved together in a given quantity of solvent at different temperatures to give a prescribed drug preparation.
- Chemists And Research Workers: Helps them to determine the most suitable solvent to be used at various temperatures for Extraction Of Essential Chemicals from their natural sources.
Two benefits of the solubility curve :
- To compare solubilities of different solutes in a solvent at a given temperature.
- To determine the solubility of a given solute at a specific temperature.
