उत्तर

When silver is treated with concentrated sulphuric acid (H2SO4), it dissolves to form silver sulphate (Ag2SO4) with the evolution of sulphur dioxide (SO2) gas.

The reaction is:

\[\ce{2Ag + 2H2SO4 -> Ag2SO4 + SO2 \uparrow + 2H2O}\]
