(v) The forests are classified into very thick and less thick
(vi) The four cardinal directions - Orissa is in the eastern coastal part of India. It is towards the east of Chhattisgarh, south West Bengal, and northeast of Andhra Pradesh.
- Yes, the Bay of Bengal is close to Orissa. I could find it on the map.
- The following states have the sea on one side:
West Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. - Jharkhand is situated south of Bihar, north of Orissa, and east of Madhya Pradesh.
- Forests are in almost all states of India. Some states have more area of the forest than some other states. Forest can be seen on the map by green color.
- This can be done by looking for states with dark green color and those with parrot green color.
- For someone in Madhya Pradesh, the country’s thickest forest would be in the north and in the east. The states with the thickest forests are; Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh.
