∴ x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 + x + 8 = 74 × 5

⇒ 5x + 20 = 370

⇒ 5x = 370 – 20 = 350

⇒ x = `350/5` = 70

∴ A = 70, C = 70 + 4 = 74 and E = 70 + 8 = 78

∴ C × E = 74 × 78 = 5772
