उत्तर

Given: Mass of carbon = 2 × 10−3 g

Mass of air = 1 tonne = 1000 kg = 1,000,000 g

ppm = `"Mass of solute"/"Mass of solution" xx 10^6`

= `(2 xx 10^-3)/1000000 xx 10^6`

= 2 × 10−3

∴ The concentration of carbon in ppm in air is 2 × 10−3.
