उत्तर

Given: n = 1 mole

P = 1.0 M Pa = 1.0 × 106 Pa

Ti = 27°C = 27 + 273 = 300 K

Vf = 2 Vi

To find: Wok done (W) = ?

Formula:

  1. W = PΔV
  2. PVi = nRTi

∵ PVi = nRTi

∴ Vi = `(nRT_i)/(P)`

= `(1 xx 8.31 xx 300)/(1.0 xx 10^6)`

= `(24.93)/(1.0 xx 10^6)`

= 24.93 × 10−4 m3

∴ W = P(Vf – Vi)

= P(2Vi – Vi)

= PVi

= 1.0 × 106 × 24.93 × 10–4

= 1.0 × 24.93 × 102 T

= 2.493 × 103 J
