  1. Zn + H2SO4 → ZnSO4 + H2
  2. Fe + H2SO4 → FeSO4 + H2

Hydrogen cannot be prepared from metals which are below it in the activity series of metals such as copper because only metals that are more reactive than hydrogen can displace it from acids.
