उत्तर

Feature Code Codon Anticodon
Definition The universal set of rules relating nucleotide triplets to amino acids. A specific sequence of three nucleotides that codes for an amino acid. A three-nucleotide sequence that is complementary to an mRNA codon.
Location Present across the entire genome (DNA/mRNA). Found on the mRNA strand. Found on the tRNA molecule.
Function Acts as the “biological dictionary” for protein synthesis. Provides the actual instructions for which amino acid comes next. Acts as the “key” to ensure the correct amino acid is delivered.
Base Pairing N/A Pairs with the tRNA anticodon. Pairs with the mRNA codon.
Direction 5’ → 3’ (Standard) Read in the 5’ → 3’ direction. Oriented in the 3’ → 5’ direction to bind properly.
Total Number 64 different codons. 64 possible triplets (including 3 stop codons). Fewer than 64 (due to the Wobble effect).
Example AUG = Methionine AUG UAC
